Lynn Hachey Nordhagen
Beaverlodge, Alberta
Lynn Hachey Nordhagen is a Northern Alberta artist with a growing presence in the Peace Country art scene. She grew up in Falher, Alberta where she started drawing in graphite, charcoal and ink at a young age. Now a teacher in the Beaverlodge area, she primarily works in oil, gouache, acrylic and watercolour mediums with a focus on the play of vibrant colour, light and shadow. Inspiration can strike her anywhere, and you can often see her snapping photos to later capture the feeling or effect of a place in a painting. When possible Lynn enjoys painting outdoors, or plein air. Her work features a vast array of subjects including landscapes, waterscapes, and urbanscapes in a painterly representational style.
Art has been a refuge, an inspiration, and a celebration of the beauty around us.
