Diane Knight
Calgary, Alberta
My formative years were spent in Europe and later Canada. The wanderlust running through my veins has taken me all over the world but it wasn’t until I discovered southern Baja that I truly learned to live in the present.
My paintings are created through my senses, my whole being coming together to capture on canvas the inner significance of the subject that just has to be painted. I draw on my life experiences in Mexico, Guatemala, and countries across Europe.
Diane holds Canadian and Mexican citizenship and splits her time between Calgary, Alberta and San Jose del Cabo, BCS, Mexico.

I am inspired by the intensity of the light, vibrant colours and how cultures use colour to express themselves, the musical notes of life and love, and the fragrant smells of the earth and its offspring. I feel the energy that comes from the freedom to just be.
