This oil painting was completed en plein air on the side of the road overlooking my favourite sheep farm. The jet black lambs are curled up in the grass while their white, woolly moms chew away at their cud, oblivious to the beautiful blooming cherry trees which line the laneway. My goal is to capture a moment in time. With the use of texture, colour and expressive brush work, I aim to convey the emotion and atmosphere of the scene.
