About the Artwork

It seems I am often landing at the same place when I journey into a painting. I start with no intention and before long I have found myself at this lovely spot in the forest, with no sound but the waterfall. Painting can be a great escape from the stresses of life and can take you the most beautiful places. Painted with palette knives and brushes. This abstracted landscape is beautifully framed in a black floating frame.

Carol Bednarski

Victoria, British Columbia

Carol is an impressionist/abstract artist known for her bold use of colour and expressive brushwork. Carol's lives in Victoria, BC where she paints full time.

"At some point the painting shows me something, the hint of a place, an image, or just a mood. I get a feeling that I react too and that’s when the painting starts to take shape. The rest is a dance between intuition and controlled response."
