10 years ago, I made a conscious decision to become vegan for ethical reasons.
I’ve learned the impact raising animals for industrial meat, dairy and egg production has on our environment, animals and people.
August 2019 my twin sister came to came to visit me for the first time in Vancouver.
Gina had so many first experiences here: first time having vegan sushi; first vegan Indian curry; first vegan tacos; she was amazed how delicious food can taste without animal products.
This piece is called “Viva La Vida” meaning “Long Live Life” All life deserves respect, dignity, and compassion.

At 35, Asiza's parents shared the family secret that she was adopted and has an identical twin sister.
Asiza realized her art was her way to stay connected with her twin.
