This painting was inspired by some incredible drawings and notes I found tucked away with old family photos. My great uncle had sketched scenes from his thoughts about the shortwave radio programs he loved. I photocopied the papers and used them as collage elements in this series, adding an aged patina to capture the spirit of that time. The nondescript cursive writing on each painting, echoes the cursive script he used—an ode to this now-fading art form.
