About the Artwork
The Gondola, once a necessary form of transport around the narrow shallow canals and low bridges of Venice, has evolved into one of the most iconic symbols of romance in Venice today. The unique properties of the liquid oil-based reactive paint used in this piece, were particularly effective in capturing the reflective nature of the murky waters of the canal.
