Catherine Willis-O'Connor

Almonte, Ontario

Since 1988, Catherine has sold and exhibited her colourful, detailed genre-style paintings. Now living in Almonte, Ontario, Catherine is a former student of the Ottawa School of Art. She created her style by studying Canadian folk artists: Maud Lewis and Joe Norris of Nova Scotia, William Kurelek, and E.J. Hughes.

"Gone-But-Not-Forgotten. A series of paintings I am presently working on. Should be completed by October of this year. It's Ottawa before Social Media interfered and shut down tangible face-to-face communications. It's powerful, joyful with lots of colour and kindness displayed throughout. Stay tuned. You won't be disappointed."
