Using deep, brooding colours and bold yet fluid brushwork, my hope was to capture the strength and beauty of this timeless seascape. This jewel of the Maritime is beloved by a nation, with a strength forged from hardship. Much like a pearl it has only increased in beauty over time. It speaks to the heart of the adventurer and I hope it speaks to you as well.

"At some point the painting shows me something, the hint of a place, an image, or just a mood. I get a feeling that I react too and that’s when the painting starts to take shape. The rest is a dance between intuition and controlled response."
