About the Artwork
This piece is a three-dimensional tessellation sculpted from an uncut sheet of paper. The design arises from a Penrose tiling, a pattern that never repeats. The organic forms are evocative of the infinite swirling thoughts of the dreamer, a mask-like arrangement of creases at the center of the tessellation.
