About the Artwork
This piece is sculpted from an uncut piece of Huun paper, which is made by hand in the Yucatán Peninsula using techniques developed by the Mayans. Reminiscent of turquoise tropical waters, the curves and twists in this piece allude to the motion of waves crashing by the beach.
