This painting is a semi-abstracted coastal landscape inspired by the moody skies and atmospheric seascapes along the Pacific Northwest, as I live near Vancouver, BC and am constantly inspired by Nature. This piece is layered with a variety of brushstrokes and markings, tone on tone with minimal use of colour, for a muted, neutral appeal to suit many decor styles. It's elegant, organic and oceanic, allowing the viewer to meditate on what we can know about Nature and what will always be veiled to our perception.
