Heather's experiences Hiking throughout the mountains that surround Vancouver, have lent to her growth and creativity as an Artist. As a naturalist Heather is inspired by the biodiversity and ever changing landscape, which is due in part to the effects of global warming. Heather incorporates hemp twine into her acrylic works, which alludes to natural tree formations. The glaciers you see depicted in "Pacific Northwest Summit", were created created as a gentle reminder of how we should never overlook the beauty of nature. The piece also serves as a message to remind ourselves why we should cherish the world we live in.
