“Shadow and Light” is the back laneway from my family home where my kids were raised. I remember taking my dog for her walks, so beautiful in the early morning and later in the day. I can still hear the sound of birds settling for the evening and children playing in the distance. The shadow bands reach across the walkway in subtle tones, broken by shafts of light. They remind me of good times, hard ones, and the place that was once our home.
