This piece addresses ecological restoration. Life is being carried across a damaged landscape so it can begin again. The gap between the cliffs stands for habitat fragmentation, environmental disruption, and the distance created by human change. The birds act as mobile links between separated habitats, while the seedling represents the possibility of regeneration. The roots make that hope grounded rather than effortless…recovery depends on more than planting something new.

"While painting, I absorb into the exploration of environmental, physical & emotional dynamics. These expressions which might otherwise go undefined, demonstrate connections between these different realms of experience. The opportunity for introspection and sharing, brings me excitement and joy in the creation of each piece."
