About the Artwork
I wanted to illustrate the idea of recovery in nature. I titled this piece "Where Water Used To Be" and wanted to reflect upon the power of nature to renew itself and how much we depend upon the natural cycles of the seasons. Here is a Blue Heron in the dry season. The water is all dried up from where it used to be, but still it returns to the water hole waiting for it to be restored when the rain comes again. It is amazing to me that even after a dry year, water comes again and the land is renewed and how sweet is recovery.
