I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful wolf near Golden, BC. I kept the fur softer than I normally would paint it to counter the starkness of the dim winter day. I used a very limited palette for this piece and wanted to create a very 'elemental' feeling with a simple and clean background of varying textures and elements, but not much for a variance in colour.
