About the Artwork
I love Chickadees as they are one of the few birds that stick around all winter in Alberta. I wanted to keep the background muted and use an untraditional size and orientation of the canvas to make the image of the bird more powerful and accentuate the flight of the bird in order to create the feeling of spaciousness and freedom.
