About the Artwork
I am continually inspired by the stunning natural beauty of Naramata, where I live. I have done many paintings of Camp Creek in all seasons. In summer I do plein air sketches of the effects of the dappled sunlight peeking through the trees along the creek, creating interesting patterns of light and shade on the foliage below. This painting was done in late summer when the rosehips were at their most beautiful.
