What is the “butterfly effect” and what happens if the tiny endangered wild bee is left outside of the circle?
This painting is partially a still life study, but within an abstract and symbolic composition, for a series entitled "Circlesongs." It is a meditation on heritage, permanence and impermanence; noticing small things we value and collect, as well as some we might overlook.
The process for this project started after swirling and deliberately dropping coloured silk fabric into a circle on my studio floor next to my easel. Then it continued with collecting, and composing small treasures; considering clues of
