About the Artwork

Peonies are my favourite flower, and I think that what makes them so special is that they bloom for such a short time. For two weeks in June I take many walks outside to admire their delicate blossoms and then they are gone. They teach us a little lesson in life, that we should spend the time to acknowledge all the fleeting joys in life.

Sheila Van Delft

Langley, British Columbia

Sheila Van Delft is a visual artist who paints landscape and wildlife with sensitivity and thoughtfulness and hopes to bring a little of the wilds into the homes of her collectors. Her images include a wide variety of subjects such as mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, and BC birds and wildlife.

"I have been an artist since I was a child and can’t imagine my life without painting. My favourite subjects to paint are landscape and wildlife so it’s amazing to be able to paint what I see around me every day."
