Last fall I traveled to Mount Baker specifically to see Picture Lake and take photos for reference for paintings. When I arrived I was absolutely astonished by the views. The autumn colours were truly breathtaking. I wandered around for hours taking photos of every tree and colour filled field, and every little wandering stream and distant mountain range. This was one of my favourite views. The bit of path in the foreground draws you in, and the far-off peaks create this vast sense of space. Somehow warm and welcoming, and majestic at the same time.
