About the Artwork
The diversity of things growing in a west coast forest are a source of fascination for me. On a hike at Elk Falls, I was drawn to the contrasts of texture and colour that surrounded me. In this vignette, the strength of the tree bark and the delicacy of the mosses and undergrowth were a joy and a challenge to capture.
