This painting began as my “play panel”, a place to apply remaining paint so it was not going in the garbage bin, a place to experiment with colour combinations or mark making tools and more. Over time, the painting called for more refinement and this is what emerged. To me the flow and energy suggest trapeze artists in motion while others wait on the platform to be launched into the air.
