The inspiration for this painting was the energy and intense colour of these magnificent sunflowers. They communicate resilience and hope in the context of the crisis in Ukraine and the fact it is their national flower. The process of painting a flower is an opportunity to paint the life and uniqueness of each petal. It is so much fun!
