About the Artwork

This evocative acrylic painting captures a moment suspended between interior quiet and the radiance of the outside world. Viewed from behind, a woman stands in a doorway with a light blue sheet loosely draped around her lower body. Her bare back, softly defined by the line of her spine and shoulder blades, is illuminated by intense golden light pouring in from beyond the threshold. The work becomes a meditation on vulnerability, quiet strength, and the subtle poetry found at the threshold between inner and outer worlds.

Sergey Odobetskiy

Oakville, Ontario

Sergey Odobetskiy works in a Romantic Impressions style, creating paintings that balance stillness and underlying tension. His work reflects on identity, presence, and the subtle connections between the human figure and the natural world.

"I’m drawn to stillness as a form of intensity - where emotion is held just beneath the surface, quiet but undeniable."
