In California, a corner of our sun-porch was converted into a bird cage. There were about 15 Zebra Finch. Over the years, I created several pen and ink paintings, but last year, I decided to test out the solarplate etching process. They now hold ink, and just like a zinc or copper plate, are inked, wiped and printed, producing this reminder of my tiny housemates.
