About the Artwork
For a new series, I picked a palette at random and started to paint, realizing as the work progressed that I was using earthen colours from pottery and imagery from ancient times. I’ve always been attracted to myths and legends. In ‘The Lure of Ancient Worlds’, I feel transported back into my favourite stories, The Iliad and The Odyssey.
