I was setting out to paint fog, but that’s not what resulted. I was also setting out to paint lace, but that also did not result. There is obviously scope left for future work… Meanwhile, this painting of my writer friend is one of my favourites; its soft greens and blues are very livable, and the mood invites introspection.
