C$300
I’ve been painting a series of works based on snapshots of street scenes in Assisi, each one a close-up of seemingly random individuals who find themselves in conjunction, stacked one against another. This one must be my absolute favourite, with its irresistable assortment of black and white stripes. I’ll likely paint a larger, more “serious” version as well, but in this tiny window I gave full range to expressive brushwork for maximum pizzazz!

"In painting as in life, whatever distance you travel just opens up further vistas for exploration. Subtleties, bold statements, complexities of relationships, colour, colour, colour. I wish I could paint forever!"
