Creators often speak of the creation as developing a life of its own, and that was certainly my experience with the painting “Float.” It did not exist in my imagination prior to manifesting on the canvas, and each element arrived in response to the previous ones. So I was freed up to find joy in the meaning as it revealed itself, in its full glory.
