This is a view of the Fontaine du Theatre-Francaise Nymphe Marine (Ronde d'Enfants), located closest to the Rue Saint Honore and the Avenue de l'Opera in Paris. On a very sunny day during my first trip to Paris, we came upon this beautiful fountain. The cascading water partially concealed the sculptures children, which led to the challenge of using negative painting techniques. The sunlit side provided the perfect backdrop for one of the children. A painting of light and shadow, of purity and renewal. A painting that sparks a happy memory.
