Feel the power .... since childhood trains have fascinated me. Where have they been and where are they going. A country born... largely influenced by rail travel and to this day the life blood of the economy. This scene in the Port of Vancouver rail yards is close to my home and heart.

Mel Anderson
Delta, British Columbia
Mel Anderson is a South Delta based representational artist whose primary choice of medium is acrylics. His landscapes are often painted en plein air and his subject matter includes landscapes, cityscapes, animals and various architectural structures.
"It's all about the light. With each successive painting I endeavour to capture the obvious and the subtle differences in it. How to interpret light has been an ongoing pursuit. I don't try to paint emotion or invoke some deeper meaning ....... I just try to get the light right!"
