Traditional botanical images capture the plant/flower at it’s peak or full bloom. I choose to capture the full life cycle with a focus on the later portion when colours fade and lines collapse into crevices/shadows. I often refer to a Chinese proverb: It is natural to appreciate the beauty of youth but you must learn to appreciate the beauty in ageing… I would like to facilitate that learning by sharing my visual language.

Watercolour and drawing are my main medium. I have a lens for an ageing aesthetic; enthralled by the titillating nature of asymmetry and imperfection of the ageing process.
"I seek to express the beauty, the poignancy, the drama, and the authenticity of the ageing process."
