The Zen aesthetic of Wabi Sabi has informed my drawing and watercolour for many years. Although it pertains to objects, I apply the lens to people as we all devolve to nothingness. I am enthralled by the lines and patina of age be it objects or people. After years creating a visual voice celebrating the beauty in human ageing, I have decided it is too personal for the audience planted in a youth-oriented society.
