Working with acrylic paints on yupo paper allows me to create works that push towards abstraction while still capturing the atmosphere inherent in a landscape. Applying layers of unexpected color in both a transparent and opaque form produces a unique textural quality that captures the sparkle of light.

"“My paintings often celebrate nature and familiar settings that uncover complex reaction. In my quest for the duality of abstraction and representation, I work quickly and directly, using decisive marks. I love colour and use it freely.”"
