My garden is a constant inspiration for my artistic efforts. Nature never disappoints. These berries were aglow with colour. They were true hidden jewels among the lush vegetation.
I like to use a “painterly style” as I work in watercolour. Gestural, expressive brushstrokes result in a more interpretive product. The medium of watercolour can be bold and dramatic or soft and mysterious. It is a medium that “paints itself”, blending fusing and creating a myriad of subtle shades.

"“My paintings often celebrate nature and familiar settings that uncover complex reaction. In my quest for the duality of abstraction and representation, I work quickly and directly, using decisive marks. I love colour and use it freely.”"
