About the Artwork

In Where Heaven Begins, Mara Szyp invites the viewer into a serene moment where earth and sky exist in quiet harmony. Silhouetted trees rise gently from a fog-wrapped landscape, reaching upward into a sky brushed with soft blues and unfolding light. The clouds part with subtle grace, suggesting both presence and possibility.

This work does not speak of faith through symbols, but through balance—between land and sky, light and shadow, stillness and movement. Each element, distinct in character, contributes to a seamless whole, reflecting the way harmony emerges when differences coexist without conflict.

The atmosphere is one of peace and openness, where the ordinary touches the eternal. It is a gentle reminder that heaven need not be imagined as distant, but can be felt here—in the glow of light, the quiet of the land, and the breath between moments.
