About the Artwork

Unframed 19x19", framed 24x24". In Newfoundland friends and family will venture into the forrest in order to have an outdoor picnic known as a boil up. The cold, crisp, winter air makes even the most basic meal more delicious.

This artwork exhibits online-only as a recognized artwork. Within our organization, recognized artwork has met the standards required to participate in our exhibitions. However, due to the volume of successful submissions to this exhibition, we can't fit all pieces in our in-gallery exhibition! This feature is qualifying towards Signature Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Luanne Dominix is a watercolour artist from Bay Roberts, Newfoundland. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies (Architecture) from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Memorial University. Her work draws inspiration from the material culture and traditions of rural Newfoundland.
