About the Artwork

This painting comes from a photo I took while hiking in the woods of Newfoundland, where these wild irises grow. There is something magical about stumbling across such beautiful flowers that grow so effortlessly. It just existed, striking and wild. It is exactly as it was meant to be.

Wildflowers thrive on their own terms, shaped by the land rather than by people. This piece isn’t just about the flower itself, but about noticing what’s already there. It's about the beauty we don’t plant and the things that flourish without permission.
