Equilibrium, Interrupted is a reflection on caregiving. It is a capture of the in-between moments where order begins to fray and chaos softly enters. A place where the self hovers between presence and disappearance. This painting holds internal contradictions: sharp lines give way to blurred edges, control is never absolute, letting go is never final. This is the fragile balance of holding another while trying to hold one's self. In this work, caregiving is held in quiet tension. Remaining still, observant and full of unspoken exchange.
