Driving west along the border road, the setting sun created these amazing shadows and shapes. The sky glowed golden and I knew I had to take this opportunity to pull over, take a photo, and soak it in while it lasted… knowing it was one of those moments I needed to paint.

As a BC landscape and plein air artist, my passion is capturing our beautiful west coast on canvas. I was raised on the Gulf Islands and completed my Masters of Fine Arts at UBC. My inspiration is the way light plays on the land and reflects in the water.
"Nature has always been there for me…for all of us, if we take the time to appreciate her gifts. I am passionate about preserving and capturing on canvas these moments in time so that others can also enjoy and be inspired."
