The Bowron Lake Chain "How God Sees Us" - Topographical map and watershed.
C$1,400
The fascinating part about this painting is how your eye focuses on the scenery first and then the topographical map as you step-in closer for a better look. To really get a better understanding of this artists concept, it might be best to first look closely at the topographical map. Then for the 'red dot' in the top center of the painting. From there look towards the right of the painting; this is your view (when you are actually there sitting in your canoe or kayak) of the painting that you would see from this point on the topographical map, (the tree and the rock face and the distant hills and mountains), on your paddling trip around the Bowron Lake Chain. Do you see it?
(hint; as lines are closer together this indicates steeper terrain and the further apart they are this indicates flat terrain, or even a marshy area).
This stunning provincial park in central BC is visited by many people from places around the globe.
You might also notice the 'blue lines' on the topographical map, this indicates the vastness of the watershed, another important subject in todays world that the artist also wishes to highlight.
