Stylized, whimsical and full of colour, this expressionist painting emerged from my imagination and memory after many visits to this iconic island destination. This work features discrete forms, experimental shapes and bold colour, a nod to the later artistic styles of Lawren Harris and A.Y. Jackson. Perspective and light are purposely distorted to create a dreamlike effect for the viewer.
