About the Artwork
An oceanside arbutus greets the morning as the bright sun dances across its leaves and twisting branches. Arbutus trees each grow in their own unique way, and I’ve been long fascinated with their twisted branches, rich coloured peeling bark, and their adventurous locations. This particular tree is found along the beach at Neck Point in Nanaimo.
