May in Tofino on Vancouver Island offers so many beautiful textures to the rocks and water movement. As an 'en plein air' painter I can't wait to get out on the beach and feel the air, see the tonal colours and paint the landscape that surrounds me. Sometimes I get lost in the moment and suddenly feel water on my toes and have to move quickly to safe ground!
