Days of rain suddenly lifted and I headed out to plein air paint on Vancouver Island. The delicate separation of ocean, sky and clouds was beautiful against the bright green on the hillside and rocks. Nature's blend of tonal colours gives us a gentle pallet for a landscape after a storm. It eludes to quiet, peace, and tranquillity in the moment while painting 'en plein air'.
