About the Artwork
This plein air piece was painted on location on Fan Tan Alley in the Chinatown neighbourhood of Victoria, BC. The alley is known for being the narrowest commercial street in North America, being less than 0.9 metres wide at its narrowest point. Just enough space for my easel and I! I couldn't resist the way the sun lit up the building and street at end of the alley.
