Sea level rise is raising the heights of tidal systems. Now Vancouver's coastline is changing rapidly with the result of high tides that are extending further inland. I wanted to create a painting showing the shorelines here on the West Coast before climate change erodes their existence and changes the landscape forever. This painting is my interpretation and memory of what a large "Lunar Wave" hitting the Pacific Northwest Coastline looks like. I remember picking up rocks and shells and seeing all of natures coastal barnacles & muscles. I wish to see this in our future, be kind to nature.
