Heather's experiences while travelling have lent to her growth and creativity as an artist. As a naturalist, Heather is inspired by biodiversity and the ever changing landscape, which is due in part to the effects of global warming. Heather incorporates hemp twine into her acrylic works, which alludes to natural tree formations. The glaciers you see depicted in "Northwest Summit", were created as a gentle reminder of how we should never overlook the beauty of nature. The piece also serves as a message to remind ourselves why we should cherish the world we live in.
